Well, here I am! Nothing says newbie or greenhorn more than a title of first post huh. We all have to start somewhere and this is my time and place. I am so excited to be able to journal my adventures and connect with others who may be miles away but are sharing a similar journey. So often, the hardest things in life are only difficult because we feel at that moment alone. A tiny bit of support may be all that stands between failure and victory. The truth is, that despite the fact we are independent people, none of us are actually lone rangers. We need each other and my hope is to connect with others, sharing similar experiences in order to better achieve our goals and have some laughs along the way.
SO now that I have gotten all the mushy, emotional stuff out, lets get down to business. I ran in these bad boys this morning for the first time. Saucony Triumph 10. Pretty snazzy looking neutral shoe I think. Jury is still out on its performance. I have been running in the Brooks Ghost 4 and love them but the miles have accumulated and it is time to bring in a second pair of shoes. I was hoping to try the Ghost 5 on but everywhere I went didn't have my size. My second choice a year ago was the Saucony Triumph 7 so I thought I would give the newest version a try. I seem to have soo much trouble finding a shoe that works well. A lot of my shoes lately start hurting the ball of my feet just past mile 4 or so. It almost feels like there is a rock or bump. Not sure why this is happening. Too bad we can't just test drive shoes until we find the best fit, then dish out the cash.
Anyone with a similar situation with advice?
